Buying a SIM as a visitor
Registration is mandatory: visitors register with their passport and citizens/residents with their Qatar ID (QID), in store or through the operators' digital eKYC with facial recognition (CRA). Vodafone Qatar accepts a passport or QID for prepaid and only a QID for postpaid, with a maximum of 2 postpaid and 5 connections per ID.
